That’s What Ya Get For Bragging on FB
Facebook has solved a set of burglaries that netted the taker more than 15 thousand dollars worth of jewelry–but he lost it all due to a timely post on Facebook by his girlfriend.
The theft netted the man a stolen 3 carat
diamond ring in the Saturday breakin–but social networking saves the day…it seems that a ” friend of the victim’s roommate saw one of the items” show up in images on Facebook.
It was posted by a 20-year-old who then captioned the photo with
the message: ‘Look what Robby gave me I love him so much,’
She was referring to her boyfriend, who had given her the stolen diamond. Her cousin saw the posting and told some of her friends, who then alerted the police about the item. Sadly, both of them, not just the thief had charges brought in connection to the theft.
Inherent Lessons:
Diamonds are not always a girls best friend and Facebook DOES get you noticed.
