As if its not enough that the multibillion dollar company is currently ripping you off for more than you should be paying for their products, Sony has decided to take it all just a step further.

We send out our most heartfelt congratulations to Sony Corporation. Now with more than half of all the DMCAs on GitHub– a real tribute guys.. but, as other sites are reporting.. there is really no limit to the ludicrous behavior and the absolute hypocrisy of Sony.

Alexander Egorenkov, also called ‘Graf_Chokolo’ on the internet, got targeted by the big boys after trying to restore OtherOS to the system.

Sony demanded the seizure of his PS3 hacking equipment. Sony Then decided that innovators must be punished and rather than hiring the guy. they decided to sue him for 1,000,000 euros … which would prove to us that Sony is run by idiots. It would have been cheaper to get him on their side, both financially as well as public relations wise.

“The SONY’s laywer asked me why I’m doing what I’m doing, because of my hatred for SONY?” writes the hacker. “He cannot understand why I’m doing it, because he is paid for what he does. I’m not. I don’t hold a grudge against SONY even now. Hatred clouds your mind, keeps you from more important things. I have a better use for my mind and knowledge.

“So, SONY you failed again…They are just tools, I can get new ones and will continue my HV reversing and bringing back PS3 Linux which you took from us…You know who am I and where I live, so come and get me!!!”

Well they did.

Sony sued him, and then he was forced to take down all of the materials related in any way to the hack to what should be personal property.. The site went down and has been replaced with a page to help him to pay for a court fight with the Sony idea crushers.. Guess that didn’t work out quite the way it should have.

It seems that most of us are more than willing to allow big business to dictate our freedom of speech and our freedom of expression–to amend products that we pay a great deal of money to own, because the donations were few and far between.

Looks like he’s run out of money and expects to go to prison this week.
